The AFAST® Online Course consists of seven approximately 1-hour modules. In this course, you will learn the basics of AFAST including patient and probe positioning as well as the clinical information you can obtain during an AFAST exam. AFAST is not simply the detection of free fluid or “flash” in the abdomen. Using our standardized, goal-directed approach you will learn: how to assess patient volume status, evaluate for pericardial effusion, evaluate for anaphylaxis, use the abdominal fluid scoring system to assess for degree of anemia, estimate urinary bladder volume for urine production and much more…. You will be amazed at the amount of clinical information that you will gain from the AFAST exam after taking this course!
This is a self-paced, recorded course. Once you register for the course, you have 6-months to view all 7 of the AFAST Modules. Quizzes must be passed to be able to advance to the next AFAST Module. After completion of the course, we will send you a Certificate of Completion and 7-hours of RACE-approved Continuing Education Credits.
