The artifacts create a wispiness within the urinary bladder lumen that may be mistaken for pathology including sediment and mass and may distract the sonographer from seeing small volume effusions. Turning down the gain eliminates the artifact.  There is a small volume effusion in the Cysto-Colic Pouch.
