This webinar will focus on TFAST® Fundamental Echocardiography including image acquisition of the right Pericardial Site TFAST® Echo Views in the standing position that include the short axis “Mushroom View” for volume and contractility and “Mercedes Benz View” measuring left atrial size and and long axis and its 4-chamber View for right-sided problems.

Clinical applications in the webinar include how to use TFAST® Fundamental Echocardiography small animals with Myxomatous Mitral Valve Disease (MMVD) , Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), Pulmonary Hypertension and Feline Cardiomyopathy.

The EPIC Guidelines for the determination of Stage B2 mitral valve disease dogs and initiating pimobendan to delay the onset of Stage C (the presence of left-sided congestive heart failure and cariogenic pulmonary edema) by 15.4 months will be reviewed. The use of Vet BLUE® for determining the presence and degree of cariogenic pulmonary edema, Left-CHF, and the use of the DH View for characterizing the caudal vena cava and hepatic veins, Right-CHF, is also covered.
